The mineral salt SaltyShrimp Softwater Mineral GH + was developed for keeping and breeding soft water fish that need a slightly acidic water in the aquarium. With this mineral salt, you can harden water that is too soft, osmosis water, rainwater filtered with activated carbon, distilled water from the hardware store and, of course, water from a demineralizer suitable for the needs of your soft water fish such as discus, South American cichlids or various tetras. SaltyShrimp Softwater Mineral GH + affects practically exclusively the total hardness (GH), the carbonate hardness (KH) only to an insignificant extent (relation KH / GH: 0.06 / 1.0).

The hardening salt SaltyShrimp Softwater Mineral GH + for soft water fish in the aquarium contains all important minerals and all necessary trace elements - for intense colours, a good reproduction rate and healthy growth. The plants in the aquarium and the bacteria in the filter also benefit from the valuable minerals in this mineral salt: SaltyShrimp Softwater Mineral GH + provides them with everything they need for health and good growth. As a result, the microflora in the filter is particularly supported when pollutants are broken down. The "good" bacteria displace harmful germs and the microbiology of the aquarium improves.
You stir the mineral salt into your changing water outside the aquarium. SaltyShrimp Softwater Mineral GH + is easily soluble. Any unresolved residues can simply be given to the aquarium. The salt draws water from the air, so you should close the can or bucket immediately after use so that the salt does not become lumpy.
With SaltyShrimp Softwater Mineral GH +, you can harden osmosis water, rainwater, fully demineralised water and so on with a slightly heaped measuring spoon (approx. 3 grams) per 20 litres of aquarium water to a total hardness of approx. 6 ° dGH. The conductance is then approx. 200 +/- 50 µS (microsiemens).

Soft water fish like tetras especially need soft water for breeding, sensitive candidates like the discus also for keeping. Most areas do not have the right tap water for this, so someone who wants to keep and breed these somewhat more special fish should, for example, treat the osmosis water accordingly and harden it with this high-quality mineral salt.
