Description

The Tunze Aquawind is an aquarium fan that is used to cool fresh and saltwater aquariums.

The most important two factors, the room temperature and solar radiation have a significant influence on the temperature in the aquarium. If the room temperature rises noticeably in summer, the aquarium temperature should be carefully monitored at the same time. The average aquarium temperature is usually between 24-26 ° C. Temperatures above, especially above 30 ° C, can be critical for most aquarium inhabitants and also aquatic plants - which is one reason why an aquarium should never be exposed to the direct sun. The oxygen content decreases the higher the water temperature is. When the fish are skimming along the surface of the water with their mouths open, that is the first sure sign that the amount of oxygen dissolved in the water is no longer sufficient. At the latest now you should react immediately and optimise both the gas exchange and cool the aquarium temperature.

With the Tunze Aquawind this can be done in no time. This particularly quiet aquarium fan has a 5V low-voltage power supply and a fastening that can be used for every aquarium rim up to 25 mm. The Aquawind creates a laminar air movement over the water surface and accelerates the evaporation, whereby water cooling is achieved. In standard aquariums, you can cool down 500 litres by 1-2 ° C!

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:
Especially in summer you should make sure that your aquarium does not overheat - with the Aquawind you can quickly cool down!
