The 3D aquarium background Tanganyika is modeled on real nature, just like the other backgrounds and modules from Back to Nature for the aquarium. It looks like a natural, weather-beaten rock wall smoothened by the wind. The lakes of the East African Rift Valley are home to many of the colorful cichlids we so love in the aquarium hobby. In the habitat they live in various zones, which can be recreated in an aquarium, too.
Aquarium hobbyists often use rocks and sandy substrates to do this and to create the shallow transition zone of sand to rock, or to build rocky littoral or deepwater biotopes. The 3D background Tanganyika from Back to Nature is perfect for these purposes, especially when combined with BtN rock modules. The background is suitable for the use in terrariums, too, of course.
