Fluval's Bio-Stratum is bursting with volcanic power! The substrate consists of 100 percent naturally mineral-rich volcanic soil from Mount Aso in Japan and contains abundant nitrifying bacteria. Thanks to the special composition, the useful single-celled organisms activate immediately and start biological degradation processes, such as the reduction of harmful ammonia. This continuously improves the water quality. Even plants with delicate root systems can absorb the nutrients, minerals and trace elements immediately and thank you with a vital appearance and lush growth!
