Olibetta Gravel - Tanganyika Black 0.8 - 1.2mm

The colourful Olibetta gravel for the aquarium is guaranteed to be free from harmful substances. We work according to the standard DIN EN 71, part 3, so that our gravel corresponds to the German industry standard for toy safety.

Thanks to its coating with a lasting, elastic synthetic resin, the gravel releases absolutely nothing to the water, it is resistant to chemicals and CO2-resistant. You can use the gravel either alone or as a colour accent, you can mix the colours or use them parallel to each other and play with different grit size ... your imagination knows no bounds here.

In addition to its decorative function, Olibetta gravel for the aquarium also has a positive effect on the biological balance, as it acts as a natural biological filter. Its rounded shape ensures that your aquarium dwellers can not hurt themselves. The fine grain sizes of 0.8-1.2 mm and 1-2 mm are suitable for bottom-dwelling fish, who like to chew the sand for food. The slightly coarser grain size of 2-3 mm is recommended for normal community tanks and especially for larger aquarium animals with an active metabolism. It is very easy to keep clean.

Our gravel is plastic coated and may, therefore, be washed out only briefly and coldly before use in order to remove transport-related abrasion. The gravel should not be rinsed hot or heated above aquarium temperature.
