Description
Tropic Marin's Coral Clean is an iodine-based cleaning bath that removes unwanted epiphytes, parasites and other impurities from corals before they are placed in a (new) aquarium. The phosphate-free bath is a gentle treatment that does not cause any stress in the aquarium as it is not added to the aquarium water but used as a bath.
The parasites will fall off in the bath. This allows you to check immediately after a bath whether one bath was enough or more are needed.
Ingredients: purified water, PVP iodine, sodium hydroxide.
Application and dosage:
Fill a glass or plastic container with some water taken from your saltwater aquarium. Add 1 ml Coral Clean per 100 ml water. Mix well. Submerge the coral completely in this water and leave it in the bath for 10-15 minutes. Before taking the coral out of the bath, shake gently to dislodge any organisms that are still attached. Place the coral back in the aquarium.
IMPORTANT: Coral crabs must not be present in the coral during the bath. Take them out before the bath and put them back in afterward.
Note: It can take up to two days for coral to fully open again after a bath.
