Tropica Riccia fluitans CUP

Riccia fluitans, or floating pond liverwort, is a small liverwort first cultivated by Takashi Amano. Since then, it has delighted aquascaping enthusiasts who prefer natural layouts with dense moss carpets. Under optimal conditions, many oxygen bubbles are formed on the leaf tips - a vital natural phenomenon. Young fish also feel safe hiding among the delicate, decorative shoots. New shoots need to be shortened from time to time because they grow upwards - please use fine moss scissors!

• Light requirement: sunny to shady
• Optimum temperature: 4 to 30 °C - high tolerance
• Water values: high tolerance
• pH value: 5 to 7
• Addition of CO2 and nutrients: recommended
• Propagation: breaks apart on its own, division, separation

Tip: After several weeks of acclimatisation, this liverwort should remain in a selected location where it can thrive undisturbed. With good light, sufficient CO2 and nutrients, it grows much faster and more vigorously.

Note: The cups are grown in a lab. Aquatic plants from such an in-vitro cultivation are clean and sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. In-vitro plants are free from stowaways such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
