Description

The very easy to maintain Anubias barteri var. 'Bonsai', the bonsai spear leaf or bonsai dwarf spear leaf, comes from Africa. The epiphyte, only about 2 to about 5 cm high, is perfect for nano aquariums and roots or stones in the middle ground and tolerates soft to hard water.

The original form of the really small bonsai spearfoot Anubias barteri var. 'Bonsai' comes from Africa. The dark green leaves of these tiny Anubias sit on short and sturdy stems. This aquarium plant grows slowly and is very easy to care for. The bonsai dwarf anubias is really great for a nano aquarium or for the middle ground.

The bonsai dwarf spear leaf Anubias barteri var. 'Bonsai' is one of the sown plants. For this reason, we offer it already tied up on a small aquarium root of size S with a length of 20-25 cm.

The totally easy to care for Anubias barteri var. 'Bonsai' is really undemanding, it comes in soft to hard water and can handle well even with very little light. The slow-growing Anubias does not need many added nutrients. It also fits well in perch aquariums because it tastes pretty bad to them and is therefore not nibbled on.

The propagation of the bonsai spear leaf is also really easy: simply cut off a piece of the rhizome from where two leaves are still sitting. The piece grows gradually to a whole plant.

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:

This Bonsai Anubias is already sitting ready for use on a selected beautiful piece of aquarium root. Plug and play for the aquarium.
