Description

The relatively easy-to-care-for Bucephalandra sp. 'Lamandau Purple' remains quite small at 5 to approx. 7cm, making it ideal for the foreground and middle ground. It is also a popular perching plant and achieves great effect on roots and stones, as its appearance is striking: rich dark green with a hint of purple! The leaf shape remains daintily oval to elongated, the edges make attractively rippled waves. Medium to strong light would be ideal, but it can also cope with low light. As it grows wide and dense, it should be given enough space. Planted in groups, it soon spreads a great jungle atmosphere!

  • Nutrients: CO2 and plant nutrients supply recommended

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:
The rare and particularly beautiful Bucephalandra sp. 'Lamandau Purple' is a real jewel in any tank: it looks just as attractive strung up as a solitary as it does in group arrangements!
