Anubias Lagenandra Meeboldii 'Pink'

The relatively easy to maintain Lagenandra meeboldii 'Pink', Meebold's pink Lagenandra, is also available as Lagenandra meeboldii 'Red'. The rhizome plant comes from Asia and tolerates soft to hard water. The aquarium plant, which grows from 10 to approx. 20 cm, really comes into its own in the middle of the aquarium.

The rather rounded leaves of the slow-growing Lagenandra meeboldii 'Pink' from India, Pakistan and Afghanistan reach heights of 10 to 20 cm. The beautiful novelty fits perfectly as a solitary plant in the middle ground. Lagenandra meeboldii 'Pink' is quite similar to the cryptocorynes, but the rhizome plant stands out due to its special colour.

This variant has great coloured foliage. The undersides of the leaves are reddish to bright pink, the top is dark pink with greenish leaf veins. Lots of light, CO2 fertilisation and a good supply of nutrients promote the colours. Without CO2 fertilisation and under less light, the plant turns green and grows more slowly.

You can easily multiply Lagenandra meeboldii 'Pink' by dividing the rhizome.
