AquaArt 'Purple' Alternanthera reineckii

This popular stem plant is extremely impressive with its upright growth of up to 40 cm and its spectacular purple colouring: it can develop dark red leaves with intense purple undersides - stealing the show! However, it needs a lot of light, preferably intense, and a very good supply of nutrients and CO2. Plenty of space in the middle and background is recommended - then it will become a true queen of the underwater world. But it also looks noble in groups, and combined with its little sister Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' in the foreground, fantastic backdrops can be created.

• Water values: 0 - 14° dKH / 0 - 30° dGH
• pH value: 5 to 7
• CO2 and nutrients: Absolutely and generously
• Propagation: Cuttings

Note: The cups are grown in the laboratory. Aquatic plants from the so-called in vitro culture are grown in a sterile fashion. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. There are no stowaways such as snails or parasites with in vitro plants, and pesticides are not used at all.
