JBL Calcil

JBL's Calcil comes in the form of mineral food sticks that are ideal for small and medium-sized aquatic and terrapins (10-50cm). Thanks to their airiness, the food sticks float on the water surface, which keeps them fresh and in their original shape for a while. You can feed Calcil as the main food to turtles and terrapins, as its recipe is adapted to the various needs of these animals. You can also use Calcil when your turtle's shell is softening. In most cases, softening of the shell indicates deficiency symptoms.

The food sticks contain plenty of vitamins, additional minerals and other protein-containing ingredients. These help in the healthy development of the shell and in stabilising the turtles' resistance.

JBL Calcil is suitable for the following animal species:

• european tortoises
• terrapins
• tropical tortoises
• tropical pond turtles
• sea turtles

Feeding recommendation:

Especially for sea turtles:

It is advisable to give the Calcil alternately with other feeds. You can give the growing young animals in the water part 1-2 times a day as much JBL Calcil as they usually eat in 10 minutes. You can feed the adult turtles 2-3 times a week with Calcil.

Especially for tortoises:

Calcil can also be given to tortoises as a "treat" from time to time. Note, however, that the high-protein calcil remains just a varied “treat” since tortoises tend to eat mostly plant-based foods. You can give the growing young animals the required amount 1-2 times a week, for adult animals it is sufficient to give the required amount once every two weeks. Tip: The tortoises like it if you soak their food sticks in the water first.

A notice:

If the airtight packaged product remains closed, it does not lose any vitamins. The closed and dry stored product has a shelf life of up to three years. Once opened, use the product within three months.
