Description

The JBL ProAir a50 is an air pump that provides an optimal oxygen supply in aquariums with a volume of 10-50 litres.

The ready-to-connect membrane air pump with non-return valve and air stone delivers 50l / h and 160 mbar air pressure and is particularly energy-saving with a power consumption of 2.3 W. The JBL ProAir has a sound-absorbing air chamber, a reinforced housing wall and vibration-absorbing rubber feet, which is why it hardly causes any humming noises or “wanders around”. It is GS tested and can also be mounted on the wall.

The gas exchange in the aquarium mainly takes place via the surface movement of the water, during which atmospheric oxygen is introduced into the aquarium water. However, some factors reduce the oxygen content in the aquarium considerably: rising temperatures, a lack of CO2 night shutdowns, medication, and more.

In aquariums with little surface current, a deficiency can quickly arise here. Because the plant mass is also decisive: even if many plants produce vital oxygen during the day, they also exhale carbon dioxide at night because they do not go through photosynthesis without light. Here, in particular, the use of the JBL ProAir can be advantageous in order to avoid unnecessary permanent pH fluctuations overnight, which most fish also have considerable difficulties with. The resulting water movement actively expels the (excess) CO2 and atmospheric oxygen enters the aquarium water.

Even in summer, when the temperatures rise, the oxygen content in the aquarium can become scarce; the JBL ProAir provides a quick remedy here and lets the aquarium inhabitants breathe a sigh of relief.

Easy assembly
The JBL ProAir is connected to the air hose. This is cut off and the non-return valve is installed with the arrow pointing towards the aquarium. The appropriate length is cut and the air stone is placed in the aquarium.
