JBL SOLAR OCEAN BLUE T5 ULTRA

The JBL Solar Ocean Blue T5 Ultra is a blue Actinic special fluorescent tube that serves the natural colour of corals, shells and other invertebrates in the seawater aquarium.

The fluorescent tube with T5 socket is inserted into the socket and turned until the tube engages.

Nature as a model
The JBL Solar Ocean Blue tube produces a strong blue light, also known as actinic light. It is a particularly strong, shortwave, light in the blue and ultraviolet spectral range. It produces the glow of the corals and the desired lunar effect when the tube is turned on by itself. The actinic spectral range of this tube increases the fluorescence effect of corals and shells, such as Tridacna. The JBL Solar Ocean Blue tube does not just produce a purely actinic spectrum but also contains other spectral components that are more ideal for the light in saltwater aquariums. It does not make sense to illuminate seawater aquariums exclusively with actinic light, as our well-cared-for corals do not come from great depths, but mostly from depths up to 20m and thus receive strong sunlight. The combination of JBL Solar Marin Day and JBL Solar Ocean Blue is ideal. If you only have one tube socket, you should choose the JBL Solar Marin Day fluorescent tube.

Light as an energy source
Most of the corals cultivated in the aquarium need sufficient light. They often feed on the metabolic products of the algae that live in their tissues. Corals, which do not feed photosynthetically, prefer darker locations and must be fed with Phyto and zooplankton eg. JBL KorallFluid or JBL PlanktonPur. To ensure optimal growth, it is important to know and reflect the light needs of each coral in the seawater pool. JBL full-spectrum fluorescent tubes create natural light conditions and achieve a balanced image of natural lighting. Tested by the IFM-Geomar-Leibnitz-Institut für Meereswissenschaften and found to be very good: "comparable to sunlight".
