Description
The EC59 Pro Waterproof 3-in-1 Tester is a conductivity tester for EC and dissolved solids (TDS) measurements in aquaculture, food & wine production, laboratory and other water treatment applications. The device measures EC, TDS and temperature values with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) and checks whether the values are within the desired ranges. It is factory calibrated, however, it can be recalibrated to provide the most accurate results.
The pack includes a replaceable waterproof electrode MI59P and four 1.5 V batteries (for approx. 100 hours of operation).
Instructions for Care:
As with any other device, the conductivity tester may start showing signs of wear and tear after a while, usually in the form of nutrient deposits. You can prevent this by rinsing the probe thoroughly with fresh tap water or distilled water after each use.
Conversion EC to TDS
The values are shown in microsiemens (µS) and can be converted to ppm. There are different scales for this: the 500 scale, the 650 scale and the 700 scale.
The conversion is done as follows:
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1000 ppm on the 0.50 scale
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1400 ppm on the 442 scale or the 0.70 scale.
