Description
This measuring probe has been specially designed for the continuous analysis of aquarium water. It measures the ORP value, i.e. the degree of oxidation of water, and thus shows the activity of chemical additives such as water disinfectants. The probe is used in conjunction with other Milwaukee monitoring and control devices. The electrode is made of platinum and requires far less maintenance than conventional models and has a longer service life.
It has a double connection point which reduces the risk of clogging. As it is filled with gel, the electrolyte level does not need to be maintained any longer. The robust casing is made of artificial resin which provides protection from damage and chemical reactions with substances in the water.
To continue to get accurate measurements over time, the manufacturer recommends maintaining the probe regularly:
1. Always store the cap in a buffer or storage solution, never in tap or DI water.
2. Clean the probe regularly with a cleaning solution.
3. After cleaning and/or storage, calibrate the probe prior to testing. This will compensate for any changes in the pH sensor.
