Description

The natural aquarium root is mounted on a slate plate that holds it down - so you do not necessarily have to water the wire tree. The unique filigree branches give the Wire Tree a great lightness that will surely stand out in your aquarium or aquascape.

The Wire Tree is especially natural if you give it a green treetop made of moss or small-leaved Bucephalandra (for example) Mini Catherinae) or Mini Anubias (for example Anubias nana "Bonsai") on the branches. You can hide the slate foot of the Wire Tree with aquarium gravel, soil or even some moss or leave it open as a great eye-catcher in the aquarium.

If the natural root is still new in the aquarium, it can happen that whitish, like cottony coverings, form on it. No fear! These are bacteria that eat sugar residues in the wood. Once the sugars have been used up, the bacteria will disappear on their own. Incidentally, snails and shrimp like to eat such biofilms.

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:

The wire tree on a slate plate can be used super in a jungle scape or as an eye-catcher as a solitary item in the aquarium. Above all, the Wire Tree makes a splash in the aquarium. With its size, the wire tree on slate is perfect for nano aquariums or for an aquascape in which a grove is to be planted. It is also great in larger aquariums and in combination with other wire trees, also bigger.
