Description
de❊nitrate™ is a porous material that promotes both aerobic nitrification and anaerobic denitrification. Its large surface area supports dense colonisation by bacteria which effectively remove nitrate through various processes.
The nitrate breakdown process with de❊nitrate™ is predominantly anaerobic. The material is incredibly efficient at filtering water through its porous surface The porosity and lack of oxygen due to the aerobic process on the surface favour the anaerobic conditions.
At high flow rates, de❊nitrate™ serves as a biological filter exclusively for aerobic nitrification. At slower flow rates, it can act as both an aerobic and an anaerobic denitrification filter.
Recommended use:
Rinse de❊nitrate™ before use. Place it in an area where water water flow is guaranteed. Caution: The flow rate should not exceed 200 L/h. If higher flow rates are unavoidable, use Matrix™ or Pond Matrix™.
After application, the nitrate levels should gradually decrease until a nitrate concentration of approx. 4-5 mg/l is attained. Once the nitrate concentrations are under control, de❊nitrate™ is not exhausted.
Tip: 500 ml de❊nitrate™ can treat around 100 to 200 litres of water.
