Description
Alternanthera reineckii “Purple” is a gorgeous purple plant suitable for the background placement in a planted aquarium with its attractive bright red to purple colouring. The beautiful stem plant grows slowly and develops upright, large and long leaves. It has average demands and thrives in strong light, nutrient-rich soil and added CO₂.
- Light requirements: medium to high
- Optimal temperature: 22 to 28°C
- Water values: soft to hard
- pH value: 5 to 8
- CO₂: 20-30 mg/L
- Propagation: cuttings/side shoots
Note: The plants are grown in-vitro in sterile conditions in a laboratory. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. In-vitro plants do not harbour pests such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
