Description
Blyxa japonica gained popularity thanks to Takashi Amano, the renowned Japanese aquascape professional. The wild, grassy looking plant continues to make an appearance in various Japanese-style layouts. The wavy motion of its grassy leaves when placed in circulating water creates a harmonious effect - perfect for eye-catching aquascapes. Best placed in groups in the foreground.
- Light requirements: high
- Optimal temperature: 22 to 28°C
- Water values: soft to medium soft water
- pH value: 5 to 7
- CO2 and nutrient addition: highly recommended
- Propagation: side shoots
Note: The plants are grown in-vitro in sterile conditions in a laboratory. They are therefore also suitable for use with sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. In-vitro plants do not harbour pests such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
