ALUX is Amtra's energy-saving aquarium solution, where sustainability and environmental protection are the top priority as is evident from the following:

• small parts are made from the plastic leftover from initial production thus recycling all raw materials
• the aquariums are made in Europe so that CO₂ emissions are kept as low as possible during their manufacture
• the production facility produces 50% of its own power with solar energy and thus uses energy from renewable sources;
• Excess raw materials and production leftovers are 100% recycled.

The frame and cover of the Amtra Alux Aquarium are made of 100% aluminium. The aquarium frame has no joints at the corners, which not only makes it remarkably stable but also embodies a modern, minimalist design. The cover includes sliding aluminium panels. In addition to the practical sliding function, the panels can also be completely removed to allow easier access to the aquarium. An opening for automatic feeding is also integrated into the aquarium cover.

The sustainability of the Amtra ALUX aquariums is also reflected in the new generation of LEDs used. These are standard high-energy efficiency lights that consume very little power. The special property of LEDs is that they allow adjustable lighting for day time and night time which significantly reduces power consumption and lowers your electricity bill! The energy-saving lights can be moved.

The aquarium base cabinet also includes a number of practical features. The door has magnetic tool holders on the inside for quick and easy access. The interior of the base cabinet has LED lights which go on automatically when the door is opened and off when it is closed. The cabinet doors also come with practical door dampers that ensure that they close gently and quietly. The shelves can be easily removed if necessary.
