The relatively easy to maintain Cryptocoryne parva comes from Southeast Asia and tolerates soft to hard water. The 3 to approx. 7 cm lawn-forming rosette plant really comes into its own in the foreground of the aquarium.

The very small, elongated leaves grow very slowly. Cryptocoryne parva comes from Southeast Asia and is only 3 to 7 cm high, making it the smallest cryptocoryne in aquaristics.

It is a great foreground plant with which you can plant a lawn without running the risk of the plant taking over the aquarium.

Cryptocoryne parva is a small rosette plant. With CO2 and nutrients, you can push their slow growth a bit. Medium-strong light is good, under dim light it gets a little higher. The aquarium plant for the foreground copes well in soft to hard water.

Cryptocoryne parva sprouts with which it reproduces. You can separate and use them, actually really easy. The only challenge is waiting for the plant to grow.

This Cryptocoryne parva is grown sterile in the laboratory. It is completely free of pests or algae, and bacteria or fungi also have no chance here. You can even use it straight from the cup in shrimp aquariums without having to fear negative consequences.

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:

You can use Cryptocoryne parva as a lawn plant in the foreground. It grows very slowly, but over time it closes the foreground and forms a great lawn.
