Anubias Eleocharis Acicularis

The easy-to-care needles Eleocharis acicularis is distributed worldwide. It likes soft to hard water. The 5 to approx. 10 cm tall grass plant really comes into its own in the foreground of the aquarium.

The fine light green stalks of Eleocharis acicularis needles are only 5 to 10 cm high and are therefore perfect for planting lawns in the aquarium and as a foreground plant. The stalks grow more or less tight together.

Eleocharis acicularis proliferates quite rapidly as offshoots and therefore forms a really nice dense lawn in the foreground of the aquarium over time. The offshoots can be separated and re-planted for targeted propagation with a sharp scissors.

Eleocharis acicularis tolerates soft to medium-hard water, extra CO2 fertilisation promotes good growth but is not essential. Under strong light, it stays more compact and does not grow as high, but medium light is enough for good growth.

Before planting you should cut down the needles to about 1-2 cm. It drops needle-shaped leaves anyway when it is introduced to new water, so you save annoying the fish with dead stalks and the plants bounce back faster.
