Dupla Bacter

Dupla Bacter is a liquid bacterial preparation and suitable for denitrification in fresh and saltwater aquariums.

In waters, whether in natural or artificial as in aquariums, there is always an accumulation of biological degradation products in the normal rhythm of life. These degradation products begin with the excretion activity of living things in the water. A chain of bacteria that perform different tasks are responsible for the breakdown of excreta. If the biological balance of water is to be stable, care must be taken to ensure that the degradation process does not come to a standstill with the substances which have the most toxic effects. In the normal metabolic process, fish excretion products (urine, urea, faeces, etc.) are split into ammonium (ammonia) and converted into non-toxic nitrate by various bacteria via the toxic nitrite. Achieving a harmonious interaction of the microorganisms involved and not having an excess of nitrite in the water is the biggest hurdle that has to be overcome in the aquarium in particular. The greatest danger of nitrite accumulation in the aquarium is especially at the time when there are not enough nitrifying bacteria. This is particularly common when setting up an aquarium or when the fish population is too high. Dupla Bacter contains living nitrifying bacteria that help to create stable conditions immediately after use and when regularly added to the aquarium.

Application
The bottle should be shaken vigorously before use! Since bacteria are sensitive to light, you should always store the bottle in a cool, dark place. Dupla guarantees the activity of the bacteria for 12 months.

Dosage

Addition when setting up an aquarium: 100 ml per 200 litres of aquarium water.
Addition to refresh and stabilize: every 10 days 20 ml in 100 litres of aquarium water.
Addition when changing water: 10 ml of aquarium water topped up to 20 litres.
