Exo Terra 600W Thermostat with Day/Night Timer

As reptiles are cold-blooded animals, their body temperature depends largely on the ambient temperature. In nature, they regulate their strong need for warmth themselves without much effort. When they need warmth, they seek out places that are directly in the sun or have been warmed by the sun (e.g. stones or branches). If they are too warm, they retreat to a shady spot. When housed in a terrarium, reptiles do not have the opportunity to seek out the required heat or shade themselves, which is why their body temperature must be regulated using external sources.

The Exo Terra Thermostat is an ideal tool for ensuring reptiles are kept in appropriate conditions. Equipped with a dimming and (pulse-proportional) heating function, it creates a stable thermal system tailored to the needs of terrarium animals. The thermostat maintains the set temperature with precision, preventing sudden fluctuations that could otherwise lead to overheating or chilling. Separate day and night temperature settings are also possible.

The thermostat features an LCD display that shows both the set and actual temperature inside the terrarium. A heating symbol and coloured LED lights make monitoring simple: the red light indicates that the heater is active, while the blue light shows that the desired temperature has been reached. A safety switch prevents accidental changes to the settings. The waterproof remote sensor makes it suitable for use in humid environments.

The device can be connected to any Exo Terra heat source – such as heat mats, cables, bulbs or lamps – with two sockets available, each for up to 300 W. This means you can, for example, run a heat lamp during the day and a substrate heater at night. With a temperature range from 10°C to 60°C and an extra-long 190 cm power cable, the thermostat offers maximum flexibility for terrarium setups.
