The Tetra sponge is for the Tetra FilterJet internal filter. The sponges are easily interchangeable and can be used several times. The filter sponges have a high settlement on the filter bacteria. These break down various pollutants and make the aquarium water even more fish-friendly. The filter sponges from Tetra are made of harmless materials.
