Description
Tetra Pond AlgoFin is used for the effective eradication of stubborn filamentous (string), suspended (green water), and smear (slimy) algae in garden ponds. AlgoFin specifically interferes with the organism and metabolism of the algae, thereby inhibiting their ability to photosynthesise.
The special active ingredient unfolds its effect over a period of 2 to 3 weeks and prevents further algae growth. It is also suitable for the permanent control of algae growth. Tetra Pond AlgoFin is particularly easy and precise to dose.
Directions for use:
- Shake the bottle well before use!
- Using the measuring cup, add 50 ml of AlgoFin per 1,000 litres of pond water.
- For optimal effect, distribute the product evenly in the water using a stick or similar object.
- Before and after treatment, remove as much algae as possible with a net, as dead algae can worsen water quality.
- Ensure sufficient oxygen supply during the treatment period.
- After adding the product, do not filter over UV clarifiers or activated carbon for at least 7 days.
- In the case of severe algae growth, a follow-up dose of half the initial amount is recommended after approximately 4 weeks.
- Can be used in ponds containing fish.
