Description

The Fluval NANO Marine LED scores with a new mounting bracket for flexible positioning in all directions, a power-enhancing IP67 waterproofness and a large-area light distribution. Each individual LED lamp emits light above 120 ° for wide and uniform lighting - without "dead spots".

So if you (especially) want to give your corals in small aquariums that certain something, you've come to the right place. Installation is easy and the brackets ensure a secure fit.

The adjustable positions provide flexibility:

  • Up or down
  • Can be adjusted to the right or left - 90 °
  • Forwards or backwards

Specifications of the Fluval NANO Marine 3.0 LED:

  • 12.7 x 12.7 cm
  • 100 LEDs
  • 20 watts
  • 850 lumens
  • 2500 Kelvin
  • 50,000 h lifespan

This new NANO Marine Spectrum LED version also impresses with its clever and improved construction - remarkably flat and incredibly robust. A lighter and flatter aluminium frame has reduced the weight of the lighting unit by 23%. As a result, the CO2 footprint also shrinks, which is an important parameter at Fluval in order to make a contribution to environmental protection.

A highlight is certainly the greater penetration of the water:
Unlike other LEDs, the Fluval Plant NANO LED lighting system can be safely mounted directly above the water surface and the light penetrates the water more intensively and efficiently.

It will only be dark in the aquarium in the future if you want it to. It can be controlled manually or via Bluetooth and the Fluval Smart app. They are available for both Android and iOS.

At this point, the models of the Fluval Marine LEDs differ. Because the Nano Marine LED described here can only be controlled with the app (while the Marine 3.0 LED can also be controlled manually, see here.)

So let's stick to the "Fluval NANO Marine LED", which is remarkably small and incredibly powerful. It is designed to enable the most beautiful corals to thrive in small marine aquariums. Developed and constructed in Germany, it emits super bright 25,000 K light. The K stands for Kelvin and denotes the colour temperature of a light source, in contrast to lumens, for the brightness, and Lux, for the amount of light in a certain area (see also the PDF file below).

Here is an overview of the features and advantages:

  • Programmable, gradual 24-hour lighting cycle (sunrise, daylight, sunset and night)
  • 6 unique wavebands for a full spectrum
  • Individually controllable colours
  • 3 optional preset habitat light configurations (Lake Malawi, tropical river landscape, planted water)
  • Adjustable position (up / down, right / left, front / rear)
  • HLE (High Luminous Efficiency) LEDs offer better lighting and spectral quality - with the same energy consumption
  • The aluminium cover ensures effective heat transfer and better protection against the ingress of water and moisture.
  • The aluminium frame is 23% lighter and flatter than previous generations
  • Waterproofness protection according to IP67 - the lighting unit can be mounted directly above the water surface and the light penetrates the water more intensively and efficiently
  • Wider coverage - each individual LED emits light above 120 ° for wide and uniform lighting without dead spots.

TIP:
Read our additional information or download the pdf of the Fluval lighting brochure. There you will find everything you ever wanted to know about light. What does light do in water? How does photosynthesis work? What is the difference between lumens, lux and kelvin? These and other questions are answered here.
